Hello, I’m Zubaer.

What I do

Since 2018, I’ve been building and looking after learning platforms at academy+, the UK e-learning company behind New Skills Academy ↗ and Staff Skills Academy ↗. Their platforms reach more than a million learners.

My work covers architecture, interfaces, APIs and deployment. I mostly work with Python, Django, Laravel, React, Vue, Node.js, WordPress, Docker and AWS. You can read about individual projects in the selected work.

How I approach it

I care how software looks and how it lasts. I bring the same attention to code review and application security as I do to interfaces: checking how each change handles access, data and failure, including code written with AI assistance.

I also build practical AI features. This site’s assistant, ZuBOT, is one example, and the case study explains how it works, including its request limits and the email handoff when a person should take over.
