academy+ (formerly BE-A Education Ltd.) is the UK learning group behind New Skills academy+, Staff Skills academy+, and related brands. Since 2018 I have been the senior developer across the product family — LMS platforms, storefronts, and the group marketing site at academypl.us.

The problem

A consumer academy, a B2B training product, and a group brand site had to feel like one coherent organisation after the rebrand from BE-A — while the underlying LMS, checkout, and learner tooling kept serving more than a million students.

What I delivered

• Group brand site The academypl.us marketing surface that introduces the company, history, leadership, and brand family.
• Learning platforms Ongoing architecture and delivery for New Skills academy+ and Staff Skills academy+ (storefront, memberships, dashboards, SCORM, reporting).
• Re-platforming Tech-stack modernisation work that kept product velocity high through funding rounds, acquisitions, and the 2024 academy+ rebrand.
• Durable product ownership Senior engineering across the academy+ family since 2018 — not a one-off theme build.

Outcome

academypl.us is the public face of Academy Plus Group Ltd (trading as academy+). The same product family continues to ship learner and company experiences at scale under New Skills academy+ and Staff Skills academy+.
