The School of Science & Technology academic portal is a Django system for routines, attendance, marks, and tabulation across study centres. I co-built the platform so faculty and administrators can run term operations without spreadsheets — with clear filters, exports, and role-aware access.

The problem
Open-university programmes span many study centres, sessions, and course types. Attendance rules differ for theory versus lab, continuous assessment is multi-component, and administrators need one place to generate routines, load cohorts, and publish marks safely.
What I delivered
- Attendance management Term, semester, session, centre, and course filters with a dense day-grid, totals, and export — including weighting rules such as attendance-to-class mappings.
- Marks distribution CA, mid-term, semester final, and summary tabs with editable components (attendance, assignment, mid-term) and save/export workflows.
- Operational tooling Routine generation, semester courses, downloads, assignment flows, and admin views that surface every course when elevated access is required.
- Django service design Authenticated portal architecture with maintainable models for programmes that change every term.
Outcome
portal.bousst.edu.bd is the live faculty portal for SST. It sits alongside the public school site and replaces fragile manual processes with structured academic workflows.
